Handmade serving tray with Wool and Cardboard | Best Out Of Waste Ideas

Not all the decoration items are costly!!! Yes, today we are here to share an easy and

budget-friendly yet elegant idea to decorate your living room - just with some unused

wool and cardboard piece. So, let’s start the process.

Complexity: Average

Materials Used:

Wool

Cardboard : 32cm * 20cm

Bangles

Strong Adhesive - hot glue

Steps:

Let’s divide the steps into 2 stages:

Stage 1: Cover both the sides of the cardboard with wool

1. Cut the desired length of cardboard into an oval shape. My cardboard is 32cm as length and 20cm as the breadth

2. Take 3 woollen threads and tie the ends. Keep something heavy on it so that the thread is not lose

3. Make pleats.  A total of 5-metre pleats was required for one side.

Tip!!! If your woollen thread completes during the process, join using a simple knot.

4. Start glueing the pleated woollen threads from the centre. Use strong adhesive - I am using a glue gun. Tip!!! Starting from the centre towards the end is easy

5. Continue.. till it reaches the end

6. Repeat the same process on the other side of the cardboard

7. For the corner between the 2 sides, make some more pleats and glue it

Now you can see that the cardboard is totally hidden

Stage 2: Let's make the border now

1. For making the border, we need old unused thin bangles, wool and glue

2. Start by glueing the woollen thread with the bangle.

Wrap from one side to the other side.

3. Continue till it completes the entire bangle

4. Start by glueing two circles at a time

5. Glue all the glued circles on the border

6. Glue the sides and the bottom

7. Let me show you the final look, well the photo is not justifying.
